British Sign Language tour of the RCP
Join Martin Glover, trained architect and British Sign Language (BSL) signer, for a guided tour for visitors who are deaf, of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) striking home. For 500 years, the RCP has given a professional voice to doctors. Today, its Grade I listed headquarters in Regent’s Park is the centre of a worldwide medical community. Join us to discover how Denys Lasdun’s brutalist masterpiece was designed to meet the needs of this community. Discover a building that combines a public museum, conferences and events within centuries of history and ceremony.
Balancing the needs of a historic building with the requirements of its users today and in future is a challenge we are constantly addressing. Tour attendees will be invited to join this conversation and share their opinions on the building.
This tour is designed specifically for British Sign Language (BSL) users and is not suitable for visitors who do not understand BSL, please only book if you are a BSL user.
