Robert Platt, a past president of the RCP, was mainly responsible for the RCP’s move from Pall Mall East to Regent’s Park. He was also the first full-time professor to hold the office of president, and the first president to live and work outside London.

The RCP premises opened in 1964 at 11 St Andrews Place, Regent’s Park. It is an iconic building and a showcase for modernist architecture.

This painting was given to the RCP by some of its fellows, for display in the Osler Room, following the RCP’s move to Regent's Park. It is the largest painting in the collection and the RCP's only abstract piece.

Turner-Warwick (1924–2017) was the first woman president of the RCP from 1989 to 1992. She was a specialist in thoracic medicine and an advocate for patient involvement in medicine. This was the first portrait of a woman fellow in the RCP’s collection.
