Join us on Saturday 20 September to explore our award-winning building. Discover more about architect Denys Lasdun's striking design through a display of archive materials, a short film, a virtual treasure hunt and more. There will also be the opportunity to visit brand new exhibition 'A body of knowledge' exploring 500 years of book collecting at the RCP.
A range of bookable architecture tours will run throughout the day led by experts from the Archives, Heritage Library and Museum team.
Visiting with the family? Book to drop in at one of our craft sessions for imaginative Lego, creative paper crafts and more.
Our onsite Regent's Perk cafe will be open for light refreshments throughout the day.

10am - 4pm: Drop in
Drop in to enjoy and explore one of London’s most provocative modern buildings.
Designed by British architect Sir Denys Lasdun (1914-2001), it is award-winning and one of only a few Grade I listed post-war buildings in England. All visitors can enjoy:
- exploring the building inside and out including the striking Censors room, Dorchester Library and Council Chamber
- display of archive materials about the building
- a short film about the architecture
- a virtual treasure hunt
- new exhibition 'A body of knowledge
10am - 12pm: Drop-in crafts
Open to all ages!
Register for the morning session and drop-in anytime between 10am and 12pm to join us for crafts inspired by our building and collections including Lego, colouring, creating book marks, origami & more!
10.30am - 11.30am: Expert architecture tour
Join an expert from the Archives, Heritage Library and Museum Team for a tour to explore our Grade I listed home and discover how this award-winning architectural design was developed with an expert guide.
12pm - Audio described tour
The 2025 London Open House Festival, in conjunction with VocalEyes, is pleased to announce an audio described tour, including tactile elements, of The Royal College of Physicians, a striking, provocative building and one of London’s few Grade I listed post-war buildings.
The tour will take place on Saturday 20th September at 12 noon, at The Royal College of Physicians, 11 St Andrew's Place, Regent's Park, NW1 4LE

General information
Please note that the building is open for people to drop in and look around that day, as part of the festival, so you will be able to bring additional friends/family. However we ask that, due to space constraints, they explore the space separately and not join the AD tour.

Open House London, is a two-week celebration of London’s homes, architecture and neighbourhoods. You can get inside some of London’s best known buildings, as well as some of its best kept secrets.
This year's events run from 13 - 21 September 2025.

Terms and conditions
As you explore our striking Grade I listed home, you can take part in our Open House themed treasure hunt. Find the answer to 9 questions to discover the winning word and be entered into a prize draw for your chance to win!
How to enter
- Pick up a treasures hunt card from the information desk on Lasdun Hall
- Enter your full name and contact email.
- If you are under 18 you will need to enter the name of your parent/guardian and their contact email.
- Answer the questions and hand your completed card back in at he information desk on Saturday 20 September 2025.
Who can enter
- Anyone visiting can take part but you must be resident in the UK in order to be entered in the prize draw (see more details in ‘accepting your prize’ below).
- If you are under 18 you must have the consent of your parent/guardian and provide their contact information.
- You must not be currently employed by the Royal College of Physicians.
Prizes
Everyone will be entered into the prize draw with one winner chosen to receive a RCP architecture merchandise bundle.
Accepting your prize
- If successful you will be emailed by the end of 26 September 2025.
- If it is possible for you to come in to collect your prize we will arrange a time for this to occur. If you cannot come to collect your prize within a suitable time frame we will post the prize to you.
- If we do not hear from you about arrangements to collect/post your prize by 3 October 2025 we reserve the right to offer the prize to another entrant.
Publicity
We would like to announce the names of our lucky winner on social media, our website, and use images of them collecting prizes on future publicity. If you would prefer to remain anonymous we will ask you to confirm this when we contact you regarding your prize.
Privacy
The RCP will use the data collected on the application form only to administer the treasure hunt. This includes using the email address provided to send information and instructions for collection of prizes. Names and images of winners will be shared publicly on social media and our website, unless otherwise agreed. All information will be kept in compliance with the Royal College of Physicians’ privacy policy .
Other
- By entering, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these rules. The competition organisers reserve the right to exclude any entry from the competition at any time and in its absolute discretion if the organisers have reason to believe an entrant has breached the rules.
- The Royal College of Physicians reserves the right to cancel this competition or alter any of the rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
