Craft materials and example of a hand made herbal

*FULLY BOOKED*

Learn about historic book-making, explore the history of herbs in medicine and create your very own ‘herbal’ to take home!

In this brand new workshop we will explore what books are made of and how they are constructed. Children will have the opportunity to layout a book and fill it with details about plants and their uses in medicine – creating their very own herbal. We will explore the history of herbs and the kinds of recipes they are used in through our garden of medicinal plants and historic books. The children will choose a selection of herbs and recipes to illustrate their pages and will fold, cut and stitch on covers completing a fascinating herbal to take home.

This workshop is aimed at 8-12 year olds.

Tickets: £8 per child
